Mr. Gurpreet Singh is the Team Leader for Advanced Combustion Engine Technologies in the Vehicle Technologies Program at the Department of Energy. His team focuses on research and development of advanced combustion regimes and emission control technologies that will enable cars and trucks to achieve significant improvements in fuel economy. Research and development is conducted in collaboration with industry, universities and the national laboratories. Mr. Singh has been with the Department of Energy since 1994.
Mr. Singh is the representative for the United States on the International Energy Agency’s Combustion Implementing Agreement.
Mr. Singh earned his B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Maryland and a Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor.
